Sales Account Executive
Lenexa, KS | On‑Site | Travel Required - SpectraGraphics Inc.
SpectraGraphics Inc., a long‑established custom label converter in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a motivated, organized, and self‑driven Sales Representative to grow new business while managing an existing portfolio of accounts. This is a non‑remote, on‑site role for someone who thrives on cold calling, prospecting, relationship building, and delivering value‑based solutions in the packaging and pressure‑sensitive printing industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Hunt for new business through cold calls, outreach, networking, and in‑person prospect visits
• Manage and grow an existing portfolio, maintaining strong relationships and expanding long‑term account value
• Use a proactive, consultative sales approach asking the right questions, uncovering needs, and presenting solutions that improve performance and profitability
• Maintain strong sales discipline with consistent prospecting, follow‑up, and pipeline development
• Understand account spend levels and develop plans to grow revenue within assigned accounts
• Provide knowledgeable guidance on label materials, adhesives, printing technologies, and application processes
• Provide accurate specifications for team to quote, and negotiate terms to close profitable deals
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate production, on‑time delivery, and excellent customer experience
• Stay current on industry trends, materials, technologies, sustainability initiatives, and competitive capabilities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Passion for customer care, creative problem‑solving, and proactive account development
• Strong ability to build relationships with brand owners, converters, and manufacturers
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft MS Office suite
• Must be able to work on‑site in Lenexa, Kansas
• Must be able to travel several times per year for up to 5 days at a time
• Associate’s degree or higher
• Computer literate with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with packaging regulations, compliance standards, and sustainability trends
• Existing network within food, beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical, or industrial labeling sectors
• 3+ years of direct sales experience in pressure‑sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, roll‑fed labels, or flexible packaging
• Sales or customer service experience in packaging, labels, or pressure‑sensitive printing strongly preferred
• Proven ability to cold call, prospect, and pursue new opportunities
• Deep knowledge of printing technologies, substrates, adhesives, and application methods
• Proven success in growing revenue, increasing wallet share, and achieving sales targets
